I, like many others, have a hard task keeping a curl or wave in my hair and for that matter any kind of volume at all! My hair is thin but I have a lot of it and it's naturally fairly straight, after years of trial and error I have worked out some fool proof tricks on how to fake that va va voom!!
Condition Before Shampoo
Radical I know! Conditioning hair first allows your hair to get a light moisturise and then follow this with your shampoo. Doing it this way round prevents conditioner building up on the hair and weighing it down even more; I ALWAYS do this!
Only over the past year have I really got into wearing false lashes. I used to find them SO hard to apply and keep in place, so would only wear individuals. After mastering the art of lash application with tweezers (no way can I use just my fingers to apply them) I next needed a glue that would stick the lashes
in place! My eyes are prone to watering and using the glue that comes with the lashes or even the highly raved about DUO glue that even Mac support and sell will not keep a lash on my lid! My lash line basically repels lash glue.
After some research on the net and IG I remembered that HUDA Katan the Insta famous beauty blogger turned business women sells her own range of lashes and glue and they're meant to be fab!
Who isn't obsessed with coconut oil at the moment?!? From using it in your cooking, moisturising your body with it or using it as a hair mask. Now it's been added to a nail polish?!?
Yep you heard that right, Barry M have recently released a polish infused with a blend of coconut water and oil. This new formula is said to hydrate and nourish nails while delivering a smooth, gel like glossy finish. To get these benefits Barry M suggest you use no base coat (Eeek this goes against everything that I have ever know as a beautician) and to apply straight on the nail.
Celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin, has recently released her own line of hair care and styling products. Jen works closely with the Kardashian family, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie, and the Hadid sisters; may I add that all of the ladies mentioned give me serious hair envy!
If you know me you know I'm a full coverage foundation kinda gal, but recently I've been feeling I should maybe be a little more daring in trying a sheerer approach to my face makeup.
The latest foundation release from Bourjouis is named the 'City Radiance'; a skin protecting foundation with a brightening effect. The protection element comes from the combination of SPF30 and a built in anti-pollution screen. The radiance boosting pigments give the skin the brightening effect.
